چکیده
This document presents a set of requirements for Point-to-Multipoint(P2MP) Traffic Engineered (TE) Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Label Switched Paths (LSPs). It specifies functional requirements for solutions in order to deliver P2MP applications over a MPLS TE infrastructure. It is intended that solutions that specify procedures for P2MP TE LSP setup satisfy these requirements. Yasukawa,et. al. [Page 1] Internet Draft draft-ietf-mpls-p2mp-requirement-03.txt July 2004 There is no intent to either specify solution specific details in this document or application specific requirements. It is intended that the requirements presented in this document are not limited to the requirements of packet switched networks, but also encompass the requirements of L2SC, TDM, lambda and port switching networks managed by Generalized MPLS (GMPLS) protocols. Protocol solutions developed to meet the requirements set out in this document must attempt to be equally applicable to MPLS and GMPLS. Yasukawa,et. al.
